With great pleasure, we’re proud to present the new Drive Something Used website! What an upgrade, right? For those of our customer’s who are (wisely) returning to buy their next used vehicle from us fine gentlemen over at Drive Something Used, welcome to the new site, enjoy! The cars display WAY better, the whole site in general is a LOT more user-friendly, and all-in-all, things are looking great for DSU these days.

Some of the new features include:

- We’ve worked in a credit application you can use to get pre-approved for financing on any of our vehicles, that was something missing from the last site, and it was sorely missed for sure.

- We’ve created a great reservation policy for our customers, this is something we’ve been talking about for a long time now and I’m sure some people are going to love this – now, with the click of a button and a quick form, you can place a hold on one of our vehicles, without having to get your credit card out and place a deposit and go through that whole process. Find one of our cars at work, love it, want to come see it? Just reserve the vehicle, and once we confirm your reservation, you’re all set.

I’ve actually been shopping for a car for myself this winter, and at one point, trying to track down and hold just the right type of car, I had something like $1500 worth of deposits at three different places, just to keep the cars on the lot until I can show up to test drive ‘em and check ‘em out. That was ridiculous. I started to think, ‘Man, we need a better system.‘

This is that system.

Click the button, place the reservation, and drop by when you can – we know all our Drive Something Used customers are serious buyers, and we’d rather provide good service and build relationships than simply just sell a car and forget about it.

We’ve also built, for your browsing pleasure:

- A downloads section, for those of you that enjoy our photography here at DSU; now you can download wallpaper of some select shots we’ve accumulated over the years. We love these cars, and we try to make sure the camera treats them right – some of these premium shots make for excellent eye candy as you slog through the workday, so we thought this would be a nice little bonus feature.

- Of course we also added the blog, which should get a bit of a makeover as time goes on here. DEFINITELY leave us some comments, tell us about your experience here at Drive Something Used in Ottawa, ON, definitely let us know how we can improve and serve you better, what you like about the sites, what you don’t – we WANT to hear from you, so comment away!

- The service department! Really should have had that in the first site, but better late than never, I suppose. We’ve got some excellent techs working back there, unbelievably great guys and they really know their stuff. Bob Viau, our Service Advisor here at DSU, he’ll be helping out with the blog posts too, should hear from him soon, really nice guy, look forward to see what he has to say on the state of the union here at Drive Something Used.

The list goes on, it’s a total overhaul, and it was overdue to boot. Last thing I want to mention before I sign off is a really neat feature of DSU 2.0, something I’m really proud of: the QR codes.

EVERY one of our window stickers on the cars here on the DSU lot will have these ready and available, easy to scan, just a great way to pull up the full vehicle information on your mobile phone or tablet. The full website listing will definitely have more information about the vehicle than the window sticker can provide, and if you’ve visited us after hours, you’ll be able to see interior images and options, full vehicle specs and options, engine and drivetrain information… you’ll be able to take advantage of our payment calculator, just a whole lot of great stuff on these beautiful used vehicles.

The sales team here have been playing with the codes all day, trying to see if I made an error when I generated them.
